TO UPGRADE BUS SERVICE IN SAN
JACINTO
Route
42 will stop closer to the Community
Center
People
travelling to the San Jacinto
Community Center will soon •nd
their trips shorter and more enjoyable
thanks to upgraded bus service
in the city.
The
Riverside Transit Agency (RTA)
will adjust Route 42, beginning
Monday, to include a stop just
steps from the Community Center,
which is where free classes and
programs for senior citizens are
held.
The
routing improvement also calls
for eastbound and westbound buses
to begin using portions of Estudillo,
Pico and San Jacinto avenues and
6th Street to accomplish the beefed-up
service to the center. Timetables
will not be affected by the route
change.
RTA’s
Route 74, which travels between
Perris and San Jacinto, also includes
a stop near the Community Center.
The
Riverside Transit Agency provides
public transportation for Western
Riverside County, operating 38
• xed routes, 5 commuter routes
and 15 demand response services.
