  Employment Benefits

Administrative employees receive the following benefits:

Full Time
  • California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS)- Agency pays both employee & employer contributions; no payments to social security
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance fully paid for employee, with a contribution toward dependent coverage
  • Life and Long-term Disability insurance fully paid for employee
  • Deferred Compensation programs available
  • Free Transportation Pass for employee & dependents
  • Credit Union membership available
  • Direct Deposit available
  • Paid time off: Accrue at a rate of 2 weeks vacation 1st year, 5 floating holidays annually, 8 regular holidays annually, 12 sick leave days annually
  • Employee Assistance Program available for employee and immediate family
Part Time
  • California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS)-Agency pays both employee & employer contributions; no payments to social security
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance is available at the employees own cost; RTA does contribute $16 toward medical
  • Deferred Compensation programs available
  • Free Transportation Pass for employee & dependents
  • Credit Union membership available
  • Direct Deposit available
  • Paid time off: Accrue at a rate of 1 week vacation 1st year, 6 regular holidays annually (pro-rated)
  • Employee Assistance Program available for employee and immediate family

 

Maintenance employees and coach operators are union members and receive the following benefits:

Full Time
